Tomorrowland 2011 After-Movie Hits 5 MILLION Unique Views and Counting…
Just two months after “Tomorrowland 2011: The After-Movie” saw its official YouTube release at the end of August, the insane documentary experience has clocked up a staggering FIVE MILLION unique views from reminiscent revelers and envious onlookers across the world! And that number just keeps on soaring by the minute… with close to 100,000 hits being added every day!
That’s 5 million views of jaw-dropping stage designs, 5 million views of the insane talent it attracts, and 5 million views of some of the most beautiful festival imagery you are ever likely to ever see… until the 2012 edition that is!
Tomorrowland is far more than what it says on the tin; it’s been hailed as dance music’s answer to Woodstock by journalists and fans alike! It’s the ultimate festival and cultural experience, and it seems the 7th edition that took place on July 21st, 22nd and 23rd has captured truly worldwide interest. As far as events of this size are concerned, it’s ID&T (Belgium) that appears to have nailed it! Even artists such as David Guetta, who’s played the event for the past six years in a row, has expressed his astonishment that people refer to the madness during his performance in the film all the time. The after movie is rapidly becoming a YouTube phenomenon.
As well as this already impressive set of facts, The Tomorrowland After-Movie is a bona fide RECORD BREAKER! Never before in the history of YouTube has a festival movie attracted so many views when compared to similar event after-movies, where millions of views separate them. And even the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics doesn’t compare; neither does the famous kiss Prince William shared with Kate Middleton on the balcony at Buckingham Palace in April 2011 or the most viewed Victoria Secret Show didn’t come close. And all this from a festival staged in the picturesque and idyllic village of Boom, in one of Europe’s smallest countries, Belgium.
If the world keeps viewing at the rate it is, the equivalent to the country’s entire population, which stands at 10 million, will have indulged!
